What does a bookkeeper do for a business?

In 2022, most bookkeepers use cloud bookkeeping. Gone are the days to meet in person to pick up the shoe box full of receipts and invoices. Everything can be done remotely. I use the #1 online accounting software called QuickBooks Online and different applications to simplify your bookkeeping. As a bookkeeper, I keep track of daily transactions and make sure what goes through the bank account matches the invoices, bills and credit cards. I can also prepare and send out invoices, pay bills to suppliers, print and deposit cheques to the bank, handle payroll, keep track of overdue accounts, upload your receipts so you can make every expense count and throw away the receipts!

Do you do taxes?

While some bookkeepers will do taxes, I focus on preparing the books and financial reports for your accountant to file them. I usually have a good relationship with my client’s accountant and interact with him directly to make things simpler for you.

Do you do payroll?

Yes. If you have employees and need payroll service I can help. I will work with your payroll provider if you already have one or if you are starting from scratch I can set one up for you and give you recommendations.

How much are bookkeeping services?

Instead of charging an hourly fee which often results in an unexpected cost for the business owner, I believe in charging a flat monthly rate based on the results and the value I bring to your business. It saves money for the business by knowing exactly how much my services will cost. Also, businesses hire me as a contractor instead of an employee which saves them expenses for employment insurance, benefits, time off, payroll, etc. Bookkeeping rates ranges from $249 per month to $1000+ depending on your business needs.

What is included in bookkeeping services?

The Bookkeeping Solutions offers different packages to assess each business needs specifically.

Basic package includes bank accounts & credit cards reconciliation, monthly financial reports, completing quarterly HST reconciliation, email and phone calls support that pertain to bookkeeping. Optional services include accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, etc.
